The Grammy Award Winner replied, “Thank you, but first of all, I hate to always say this, but as a writer, I wrote that song.”
Cohen quickly added, “I know,” but it was too little, too late for the singer.
Carey, 50, replied, “Yeah, but you said, ‘I recorded it,’ so I had to clear it up to people at home. (Carey and her songwriting partner Walter Afanasiev co-wrote the melody, Only 15 minutes assumed.)
Adding more annoyance to the exchange, Curry then asked about the background noise, forcing Cohen to respond that it was Jennifer Lopez’s performance for the evening.
Carrie, whose supposed dispute with Lopez is due to her feeling Lopez copied her “Loveboy” with “I Am Real”, has kept a steady smile on her face.
The situation was indirectly addressed in Curry’s recent diary, which she describes as “an artist on [Sony’s] The label (whom I do not know), “aside indicates that himself Her famous response to the interview From “I Don’t Know Her” to a question about Lopez.
